What is Myntra?

It was founded by Mukesh Bansal, Vineet Saxena and Ashutosh Lawania in Bengaluru in 2007 as a personalized gifts platform but later changed to B2C fashion in 2011.

Flipkart acquired it in 2014 to the tune of 300M and it is currently an independent subsidiary with 50M+ monthly active users and 35-45% market share in online fashion.

The platform has AI-based personalization, AR virtual try-on, and M-Express which is 24-48 hour delivery, and has addressed more than 95 percent of orders through its mobile application.

It carries 23 lakh+ styles of 6,000+ brands including their own labels as well as events such as End of Reason Sale (EORS) which earns it a lot of revenue through commissions and advertisements.

In 2025, Myntra ventured into the lifestyle segments, strengthening its status as the best fashion e-tailer in India with increasing Gen Z shoppers.​
